Northern Grind
Built on Experience
Family-owned and operated. More than 20 years of hands-on experience in construction and property improvement. We show up, work hard, respect the property, and deliver results.
Our Story
Northern Grind was founded on more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the construction and property improvement industries. After decades of managing construction projects, operating heavy equipment, and working with residential and commercial property owners, we recognized a growing need for dependable, professional land services throughout Northern Michigan.
We built Northern Grind around a straightforward philosophy: Show up, work hard, respect the property, and deliver results. As a family-owned business, our reputation matters. We understand that every property represents an investment, and we approach each project with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality that we would expect on our own land.
We aren't afraid of challenging projects or getting our hands dirty. Our background in construction and heavy equipment operations gives us a practical understanding of how to approach difficult terrain, wooded properties, and complex clearing projects.

How We Work
Straight Talk
Honest communication and fair pricing on every job. We walk the property, give you a real number, and tell you exactly what we're going to do.
Right Equipment
We own and operate our own machines. Our construction background means we know which iron to bring for the job.
Clean Site
We haul our own debris. When we leave, the job site is clean. That's not extra — it's standard.
Local & Family-Owned
We live and work in Northern Michigan. Our reputation is built one project at a time, and we intend to keep it that way.
Proudly Serving Northern Michigan
Northern Grind is focused on serving property owners throughout Northern Michigan, including the Cadillac area and surrounding communities. We understand the unique challenges of Northern Michigan properties — heavily wooded acreage, difficult access, seasonal storms, and demanding terrain.
